Praise of Allah and some of his attribute names

Praise of Allah

Allah Ta’ala has created humans as the best creature of creation. He has revealed the Qur’an for the benefit of human beings in this world and the Hereafter. Allah Ta’ala has allowed His servants to enjoy His innumerable blessings. Therefore, to be thankful for the infinite mercy and blessings of Allah, we must praise Him. Indeed, praise of Allah Ta’ala is a deed that satisfies Him. And He is the only one who is worth more praise. Because all the qualities to be worthy of praise exist in Him. But ignorant people do not understand it.

So I will narrate some of the praiseworthy words through which the praiser can praise Allah, and I will mention some of His attribute names that make Allah Ta’ala worthy of praise for eternity. At the same time, I will highlight some of His glory. So let’s start the discussion about it.

Praise of Allah and commendation of human

These two compliments can never be one. Because if the praiser praises a person, then that person naturally does not understand the purpose of the praiser’s mind. As a result, he cannot give him a fair reward.

On the other hand, if one praises Allah, then Allah knows best the purpose of the praiser’s mind and why he praises Him. As a result, he will reward him for praising him. Either immediate reward or the rest of the prize. But He will certainly reward the praiser.

Whoever praises Allah, Allah will increase his rank. But he who only praises man does not praise Allah, then such admirer’s dignity is not guaranteed to increase. Even if his dignity increases, it does not have permanence.

Some praise sentences for Allah

There are many sentences of praise for praising Allah.
* The greatest and most famous praising sentence is at the beginning of the Qur’an. That sentence is ‘All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.’ In this regard, Allah Ta’ala says,

“All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful, the Lord of the Day of Judgment.”  [Surah Al-Fatihah, Verses 2 to 4]

This compliment sentence cannot be compared to any other praise sentence in the world. Even no one will not be able to create like this praise sentence that Allah made for Himself.

* Another uncommon sentence of praise is “What an excellent Protector and what a great Helper.”
This sentence has been used only twice in the Qur’an. Once in Suratul Anfal, verse 40, and another time in Suratul Hajj, verse 78. This sentence builds trust and courage in the heart of the praiser and strengthens the hope of gaining something.

* Another common phrase of praise is “O Allah, praise and thanks only for You.”
Although this sentence is not mentioned in the Quran. But it has been used many times in Hadith and other texts. And people use this sentence most of the time.

There are also many more sentences of praise that will not end the story. So just a few sentences I have mentioned.

Some of his attribute names

Someone is usually praised for his qualities. And Allah has such attribute names that if anyone praises him for those, then the water of the seven seas is turned into ink and a word of praise is written for Him, then all the waters of the sea will end, but the words of praise for Him will not end. And I’m mentioning several of his attribute names here.

Ar-Rahman

The Most Beneficent. Because of this adjective, he is very kind to the believers and disbelievers in the world. And he graces everyone, big and small.

Ar-Rahim

The Most Merciful. He will have mercy only on the believers in the Hereafter for His name. And He will have no mercy on the disbelievers in the Hereafter because they do not believe. Since He had already shown mercy to the disbelievers in the world.

Al-Malik

The King. He owns everything in this world and the Hereafter. He gives power, physical and mental strength, wealth, etc. to whomever He wills. Again, He takes everything from whomever he wants because of his deeds.

Al-Kuddoos

The Most Sacred. He is free from all faults, No one is his partner in his work, and he is free from the partnership. There is no one like his attribute and no one like him. And he alone handles everything perfectly.

As-Salam

The Giver of Peace. He gives peace to whom He wills and removed peace from whom He wills. No one but Him can give peace to anyone. And if he gives security to someone, no one can harm that person.

In addition to these, he has the names of many more qualities that will lengthen the description. So I have mentioned a few attribute names briefly. Insha Allah, in the future, I will describe His famous names step by step.

How do you praise him?

It is desirable to praise Allah Ta’ala in the same way He praised Him in the Qur’an. Besides, the praiser will praise him the same way as the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) praised him. Anyone can praise Him as he wishes. But it must be noted the praiser will not transgress the border when praising Him. And do not praise Him in such a way that His dignity is tarnished.

The profitable aspects of His praise

  • If someone praises Him more, he will surely get more rewards. If the praiser is a disbeliever, he will get his reward in the world. And in the Hereafter, he will have nothing. And if the praiser is a believer, Allah will reward him in this world and the Hereafter.
  • The heart of his praiser does not become hard on oppression and doing injustice to anyone.
  • It is sure, The mind and limbs of His praisers will be humble in obeying Allah’s command.
  • His more praisers are included in those who remember him more.

What we have to do
